Partagás is among the oldest names in Havana cigar making. The marque dates to 1845, when Jaime Partagás established his business in the city.
The founder and the factory
Jaime Partagás, originally from Catalonia, is remembered as a grower and manufacturer who took a close interest in the tobacco itself. The Partagás factory building on Calle Industria near the Capitolio became one of Havana’s landmarks and a place many visitors associated with the city’s cigar tradition. Factory arrangements have changed over time, so check current information before planning a visit.
House style
